Keep formation! At all times keep in formation, with 4 people getting into rucks as much as possible, and keep formation constant. Kick when pressure in increasing on own half, but not if pressure is so high that a rebound is likely. At all times, use the formation to pass, and always wait until ~75cm away from opponent to make pass most effective. When there is space, use bluff, and maybe pass alternate way to give space, but reform around new ball carrier, trying to move forwards up the formation line towards where a ruck is likely to form if tackle is made before pass. Use line-outs as opportunity to make ground if pressure is gaining, as mentioned, as line-out will break up opposition, but if opposition begins to dominate line-outs, start to use tackles as a form of breaking down the opposition, and forcing them into an extended formation, and allowing a possible break-through of their line through persistent passing down line after successful ruck.
